With just one more day left for candidates to file their nominations for the ensuing Assembly polls in the state, Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Tuesday filed his nomination paper to contest the election from Ampati constituency.
Sangma will be filing nomination for Songsak on the last day i.e., on Wednesday. It may be mentioned that the CM is contesting from Ampati and Songsak constituencies in Garo Hills.
As of February 4, 146 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the February 27 elections.
The last date of filing nominations is February 7 and the scrutiny of candidates will take place the following day.
